Key Issues
Access to Care - Clinical decisions should be left between the patient and the physician. It is critical to remove unnecessary barriers that delay treatment
Disparities in Care - Disparities in coverage for cancer prevention and treatment are well documented and remain a key policy issue. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted disparities in care for countless North Carolinians, as it has become evident that people of color and other marginalized groups are disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus and cancer.
Certificate of Need - North Carolina’s strong Certificate of Need regulations ensure that all patients in North Carolina continue to receive life saving care provided by our Radiation Oncologists. Changes to the Certificate of Need law should be carefully made to eliminate unnecessary red-tape while preserving current access to care.
